This is one of my favorite personal style posts because the photos of my look were taken at the beautiful Temple of Aphaia (500 BC) by my friend Maria. The ancient temple is located within a sanctuary complex dedicated to the goddess Aphaia, daughter of Zeus and Karme, on the Greek island of Aigina. It was originally thought the temple was built in honor of Athena. It stands on a 160 m peak on the eastern side of the island and has the most amazing view. Aphaia was a Greek goddess who was worshipped exclusively at this sanctuary.
Even though, I didn’t pack as many clothes for our long weekend escape in our friend’s stylish home as I would have liked, I was super happy with my weekend ensemble. I wore a pair of embellished distressed boyfriend jeans by Odd Molly that I got a few years back from a store in Aigina called Fistiki. My bright pink oversized sweater is from Zara and the soft pashmina is a present from my father from his last trip to India. The extremely comfortable TOMS ‘Desert’ Booties I bought in La Jolla (seen also here) are the perfect color match to my Proenza Schouler PS1 mini bag. The extravagant hair tie and multicolor bracelet are from Asao, Heidi’s Halkort trendy accessories shop in Aegina. I got them just the day before.
Have you been to Greece?
