How to dress like an Italian girl? Italian women always look put-together, but do you know why?

You probably have heard what they say, when in Rome do like the Romans do, which means to abide by the customs of a society when one is a visitor – and styling is no exception…

Italian chic is all about elegance, femininity and mystery, even, in their everyday style. They don’t dress only on special occasions. They are stylish running errands! That is the core of the Italian dressing!

One of their secrets is wearing a stylish midi dress, a quality handbag and high heels. It’s impressive how they can run in the cobblestone streets.

As Ordine Cohane explains in her Conde Nast Traveler article : Unlike their French counterparts, many Italian women consider flats to be unsexy.

The Italian glamour girls can pull off a stiletto with grace.

And, the final touch on any Italian woman’s outfit is a chic pair of sunglasses. Think Fendi, Prada and Miu Miu even though a lot of young Italian girls wear Ray-Ban.

The ultimate Italian fashion icons include famous women like Sofia Lauren, Anna Dello Russo, Miuccia Prada, Giovanna Battaglia, Bianca Brandolini d’Adda, Delfina Delettrez Fendi, Frida Giannini, Monica Bellucci and fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni.

We were at the Villa Borghese gardens with my kids Niki and Niko to enjoy the amazing view of Rome and do our family Flytographer photo-shoot with Roberta, I showed you yesterday. (How could we resist shooting a few Rome street style outfit post photographs, showing you how to dress like an Italian girl?)

The original plan was to visit the Villa Borghese Gallery but you have to book online in advance and all the tickets were sold out weeks before we arrived. Now, we have one more reason to come back to Rome soon….

So, we just went to see the magnificent gardens and walked down the Spanish steps towards the famous shopping street Via Condotti like Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn did in Roman Holiday in 1953.

World would not be the world, Rome would cease to be Rome…”
