Home Exchange sounded a bit strange to me until I stayed at the stylish Edwardian House of Maree and Peter Kelly in Melbourne, Australia. They had stayed at my sister’s flat in London and while on a trip to Asia we could stay at their beautiful home. Cool or what? Especially since their beautifully decorated house is situated in Seddon, an exciting, up and coming arty suburb. It is well served by public transport and is only 5 stops to Flinders St Station. I was impressed by the fine touches: fresh roses in every room, a prepaid “myki” travel card, a car with a navigator to name but a few. We had two lounges which we didn’t use and a private backyard with a BBQ and wood-fired oven where we relaxed every afternoon. Look at my pictures and you can find more on their Edwardian House listing here. It was so much fun, living with my sister for two weeks in a comfortable and serene 3 bedroom Edwardian villa in a quiet street with a great selection of neat shops nearby. We loved the coffee shop Le Chien, Bongiovanni & Sons eclectic supermarket and the home store LoveLuvo specializing in New Zealand and Australian products.
I was wearing:
Tank Top Abercrombie and Fitch, you can find similar here
and most important what we were eating
at Le Chien:
Poached eggs with spinach and smoked salmon
Avocado, tomato, parsley on toasted sour dough
Have a lovely Day!!!
