Top 6 SS Fashion Trends // How to wear them now

My top 6 Spring Summer 2021 fashion trends and how to wear them now. At this time of year, I am inspired mainly by the collections of my favourite designers. It’s still winter in this part of the world, so I chose six wearable trends for SS 2021 and found key items in my wardrobe to create stylish trendy outfits and refresh my everyday looks.

Trend No 1 Big Jeans

Jeans are an important part of every casual wardrobe and we are used to seeing denim on the runways. This year think high waist, boot cut and wide jeans with blue and light blue wash.

Tip : Choose wide leg jeans, high waist if you do have a relatively small waist and mid-waist if you have an apple shape figure.

I am wearing a Zara brown wide leg pants ( similar here) and turtleneck jumper ( similar here ) with Chanel boots, Hermes Evelyn handbag ( pre-owned never worn here ) and a vintage Escada coat ( similar pre-loved here)

Trend No 2 Silver Hour Metallic

Silver hour… is any hour ! Wear silver metallic anytime of the day! Match it with neutral tones like we saw in Valentino or add silver tone accessories to your everyday outfits, like I did on my Youtube video Top 6 Summer Fashion Trends and how to wear them now.

Tip: Wear silver sneakers and accessories

I am wearing : Pants Mango with silver stitching on the sides, Zara silver grey jumper and lace blouse Zara, black mini Zadig and Voltaire mini bag, silver sneakers Common Projects (on sale), black Max Mara coat ( similar Weekday Sanne long coat on sale).

Trend No 3 Black and White

The classic colour combo trend that never goes out of fashion. We saw it everywhere and I am sure you have a lot of black and white garments in your closet.

Tip : Wear white pants with black top

What I wore : Even though my black and white outfit idea is mostly vintage, the faux leather pants from Zara give the look an updated feel. Silk vintage shirt and tailored jacket Gianfranco Ferre, black suede Salvatore Ferragamo bag ( very similar Gancini clutch leather Salvatore Ferragamo ) and suede pumps Isabel Marant. ( Similar, budget friendly here)

Trend No 4 Classic Beige

Do you ever get bored of wearing classic beige ? Me never! I love earthy tones and especially light beige with white. We saw on the runway total beige looks at Fendi and beige contrasted with black at The Row.

I am wearing : A beige jumper Mango ( similar here ), a white shirt, beige suede leather pants from Uterque, Zara boots, vintage Max Mara camel coat and Prada bag.

Trend No 5 Pink Love

In the 90s I have worn fluorescent pink more than anyone I know. I loved it and I am so glad it’s back because it makes me smile. It even was the unexpected colour on the men’s runway… Times change…

What I am wearing : For now, I choose a pink coat from Mango ( super cute double breasted long coat) , a floral blouse with puffy worn with my blue Levis 501 original, a vintage Gucci belt and a vintage Celine bag.

Trend No 6 Shades of blue

Color of the season, Pantone 14-4020 Cerulean “The colour of the blue sky on a serene crystal clear day ” !!! Personally, I always wear light blue but this year it has been everywhere. The total light blue outfits at Boss and Hermes make me dream of Greek summer.

What I wore : A vintage light blue jacket by Escada, I have had forever but did not wear it, anymore, because the shoulder pads seemed too big… (Similar light blue blazer on sale) Oversized jackets are ‘in’ now, so it looks just right. The tie-dye blue t-shirt is from Zara (current season) and the jeans Levis black 501 original, the boots Balenciaga and the black handbag PS1 Proenza Schouler.
