Stylish Cocktails Liquor Lollipops

Forget the catchphrase “Shaken, not stirred” of Ian Fleming’s fictional British Secret Service agent James Bond, and his preference for how he wished his martini prepared.

The liquor lollipops are stirred into drinks to create stylish cocktails. Swirled into glasses of champagne until they dissolve and infuse the bubbly with black currant, raspberry or even peach flavor and create a classic Kir Royale, a Kir Framboise and Kir Peche.

You will need:

2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons corn syrup
6 tablespoons water
Flavoring extracts (black currant, peach, raspberry)
Food coloring (burgundy, ivory, red)

Cook sugar, corn syrup, and the water in a small pan over medium-high heat, brushing sides often with a damp pastry brush, until mixture measures 300 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat. Stir in flavoring and coloring. Pour into lollipop molds; add sticks while still hot. Let cool completely, then unmold. Store in a single layer in an airtight container with a silica package.

Stylish Champagne glasses

Serving your champagne cocktail in chic crystal glasses looks refined and elegant. I got crystal champagne glasses for my wedding, years ago but I would love to place my champagne cocktails on the Ibride ambroise bird tray from the Au Grand Théâtre Collection designed by Rachel Convers,  available at Luisa Via Roma home collection for a modern twist!

If you already have crystal glassware follow the care instructions:

1. Wash your crystal before use.
2. Use warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Rinse with clear warm water.
3. Hold wine glasses/champagne flutes by the bowl not the stem.
4. Avoid twisting stems during washing and drying.
5. Dry completely using a soft cloth.
