The camel coat is a classic, but Caren Downie, Emma Farrow and Rachel Morgans, the team behind Finery London, gave it an interesting design update.
It takes a particular talent to have the ability to remake, remodel, recontextualize the beige coat and create a piece that is classic easy to wear but feels contemporary and practical at the same time.
The super new London based brand, Finery, creates forever pieces advocating quality over quantity and why everyone should have a little fun with fashion.
Did I mention? Reasonably priced too.
Street style stars re-discovered camel coats and wore them with trainers, denim and a whole new attitude.
When I was at the Finery London event during Fashion Week, I had already received the memo that understated camel coats are the way the fashion set is staying warm and cozy.
I wore my new “minimal and not” coat for a visit at the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, the god of the sea in classical mythology. It is one of the most important sanctuaries in Attica.
The sunset from Temple of Poseidon, is a must, if you ever visit Greece.
I first wore the carefully crafted from luxe bonded crepe coat with an Alaia ensemble here but for Spring, I wore it with a black and white silk dress.
It looks just as strong belted as it does worn open to reveal a flash of contrasting navy inside.
