Buying the embellished brogues last year -or was it the year before- was a smart buy even though I never thought oxford shoes would be such and huge trend. Furthermore, I never thought I would incorporate the androgynous style in my daily outfits.
However, after years of wearing minis, feminine clothes and stilettos it’s extremely refreshing.
I got mine from Zara (on sale) and I was ecstatic to see that this season’s Dolce & Gabbana Boy Donna brogues with embellished studs and crystals looked similar.
So now, I am in the hunt of a stylish classic pair of oxfords to update with my skinny and boyfriend jeans. I might even wear them with mini skirts… and dresses… for a boy meets girl style.
If you haven’t got a pair of men inspired shoes yet, it is definitely a must have staple that should be number one in the Winter shopping list.
One of my favorites is the totally original, classic handmade Burwood Church’s brogue with classic perforations. I am loving the hard to find pony leopard Christian Louboutin Zazou flat and a sensible option is the Asos mermaid lace up flat shoes.
