Say hello to my new Isabel Marant red and black plaid jacket and Spot’s new friends.

Red is making a comeback in a very big way everywhere, including my closet.

I went with Spot, our baby tricolor King Charles cavalier and his new friends Emma (mom Rena Galou) and Ben (mom Elena Tegopoulou) to the park. Ktima Sygrou is a small forest of 1,100 acres out of a fairy tail, in Athens.

Located in the Northern suburbs it was donated, in 1921, by Iphigenia Mavrokordatou – Syngrou, wife of Andrew Syngrou, to the Agricultural Society of Athens in order to contribute to  the “education … good farmers and gardeners”. It is open to the public everyday.

Definitely, a place worth visiting with your…dog!

Back to street style fashion and plaid jackets.

According to Harper’s Bazaar  plaid is a top runway trend for Fall Winter 2014 and it is “the print to be seen in”. If green is the number one color this season, plaid is the number one print. Got it!

How to wear a plaid jacket? and not look like a carpenter…

1. Wear it with skinny jeans

For the walk the park, I  wore it with J Brand skinny jeans and my black Isabel Marant sneakers. Contrasting plaid with stripes is a lesson I learned a few seasons back… and still love.

2. Wear a braided belt

When I see Paris Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Emmanuelle Alt, street style photos I am taking notes. One, I needed a plaid jacket (done!) two, I will wear it with a belt next time…when I wear high heels…
