We were invited at a beautiful Shabby Chic home in Paros this summer. My guess is some of you already saw the amazing breathtaking views on my Instagram account and yesterday’s Fall for Florals outfit post. The house is located in an area called Ysterni which is very close to Naousa, the cool picturesque port.
“Shabby chic, according to wikipedia is a form of interior design where furniture and furnishings are either chosen for their appearance of age and signs of wear and tear or where new items are distressed to achieve the appearance of an antique.” However, creating this vintage glam atmosphere with minimal furniture and amazing handcrafted home goods and shabby chic collectables needs a genuine talent. I am loving the romantic flair of this Greek Island home. Enjoy!
A Veranda with a view
The couch is from Artgroup in Paros. Art Group was founded in 1982, by Verra Netsi, whose main objective is high quality, private and professional interior decorating.
The vintage refrigerator and this dinning table are part of the veranda. One of the coziest spots in the house.
The Glam Shabby Chic living room
The soft luxurious look and extraordinary wideness of the “Airport” sofa is designed by Paola Navone in 2006 for Poliform. “Poliform was founded in 1970, evolving from an artisan business dating back to 1942. In 1996, the company introduced Varenna, its specialist kitchen division, producing highly sophisticated and elegant designs that complement Poliform’s functional and timeless furniture. Contributing to Poliform’s success has been collaborations with some of the world’s most innovative designers and architects, including Marcel Wanders, Carlo Colombo, Vincent Van Duysen, Paolo Piva, Paola Navone, Studio Kairos, Robert Barbieri and Robert Lazzeroni.” Read more here
