NEW YORK – The Met Gala : Few Celebrities Dress … Better Than All the Rest

Anna Wintour

The Costume Institute Gala held at the New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is excessively referred to as  the “fashion’s Oscars”  and I am sure you can see why. The most glamorous Hollywood stars are photographed showcasing designer evening wear. Gala chairs Anna Wintour, editor in chief of Vogue magazine, newlywed actress Carey Mulligan and designer Muccia Prada received the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Kanye West, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, Rihanna, Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Banks and Scarlett Johansson, to name a few. Have a look at my Hollywood favorites wearing amazing designer gowns. They are setting the new trends for glamorous evening wear, hair and make-up. My top three are Anna Wintour because she was extremely elegant and I loved the ivory dress, Camilla Belle because she looked breathtaking and Gwyneth Paltrow because she wore a short and edgy Prada dress that reminded me of Claude Montana!

The timing of Anna Wintour’s Colbert Report appearance and President Obama’s endorsement of gay marriage resulted in some excellent entertainment, I felt I had to share that too.. 🙂
