Day 3 in New York, I went for a walk in the shopping area in Soho. I love this part of the city because it has the trendiest stores and amazing restaurants. It is incredible how many stylish, gorgeous looking girls walk around the streets this time of the year. So inspiring! I went inside Kirna Zabete incredible boutique and loved every single item.
They had all Fall-Winter 2012-2013 must haves from Celine phantom bags to Alexander Wang’s shoes! There, I met fashion icon Sarah Easley, (Kirna is Sarah Easley’s nickname) co-founder of SoHo’s popular Kirna Zabête boutique. Oh! She looked edgy chic in a 1970’s style dress and contemporary booties. We chatted for a while about fashion and style.
The most important thing I asked her was: “Which is THE one item you would suggest to my readers to buy from your store that will update their outfits for Fall-Winter 2012-2013?”
Well, Sara told me : ” That’s is a good question. I will have to say a Maison Michel hat.”
Now if you don’t know what a Maison Michel hat is…Hatmaker Auguste Michel founded his company at 65 rue Sainte Anne in Paris in 1936. In 1975 Pierre Debard took over Maison Michel with his wife Claudine. Debard reintroduced the use of ‘Weissmanns’, old straw sewing machines which enable the creation of huge hats with invisible stitching.

Visited Traget yesterday to see the collection of Kirna Zabête’s collaboration, which included a real leather jacket which was sold out as well as lots of fun colorful clothes. Everything was really low priced and trendy soho 1970’s cool. I got an amazing lace top and I want the tights too.

I loved the writing on the wall inside store.

I was wearing an IRO leather jacket and my Valentino studded bag. Stay tuned for my outfit post!
Have a lovely Day!!!
