My London Hot List

Martini-Glass 1

One of my favorite places in the world, is London! A friend asked me to give her my London hot list with all my favorite places.

I thought it would be interesting to share my travel tips with you.

If only the weather was better and it would be my number one choice to live. I really missed it this year because instead of staying in Covent Garden and Rotherhithe with my sister, like we do every year around February, for the past I don’t remember how many years, we traveled together to Australia. Not that I am complaining but I am dreaming of museums, shops, restaurants and bars in London.

Museum Tate Modern

I am dreaming of the Lichtenstein retrospective exhibition at Tate. However, I always visit Tate Modern, even when the exhibition doesn’t interest me just to walk on the riverside. Sometimes walk all the way to the Design Museum.

Museum Victoria and Albert

I love this Museum… Not because I can visit Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Prada all in one go but because it always has exhibitions that interest me. I want to see David Bowie’s first international retrospective of his extraordinary career.

Lunch at Le Formagerie

Lunch at Le Formagerie. The best place to have wine and a cheese platter or even just coffee after shopping. The stylish boutique Matches is near by…

Dinner Inamo

Definitely try the futuristic dinning experience at Inamo, in St. James. I am sure you will enjoy the fine Pan-Asian cuisine and trendy cocktails.

Tapas Bar Brindisa

A cool place for drinks we usually go is the Tapas Bar Brindisa near London bridge.

Champagne Bar at St Pancras International

Champagne Bar at St Pancras InternationalMy sister told me about this amazing Champagne Bar at St Pancras International, situated below the magnificent Barlow Shed, allowing guests to fully appreciate the revolutionary architecture of this historic station which sounds cool.

Paramount bar

The Paramount bar is my next bar destination because it has breathtaking views across the city. The custom made copper bar designed by Tom Dixon offers guests a unique setting in which to enjoy premium drinks and first class cocktails. Incredible sunset views await those who decide to recline in the west facing lounge. Love the smart casual dress code….

  1. Nina, Perfect timing I have two dear friends traveling to London today! I am forwarding them your hot list!

  2. OOOOh you so make me wan to go back! My flat is still in Spitalfields which has changed for the worse and the better since I left 14 years ago – it’s a bit more commercial these days. But if you want a good old traditional boozer where you can get karaoke and where Kate Moss used to drink behind the bar you can’t beat the Golden Heart on Commercial St. You can then nip for a curry on Brick Lane or go browsing in All Saints’ flagship store! I also used to love the OXO Tower and Quaglinos which might be a bit old school these days. I sat in the bar with Oasis in The Landmark hotel once too which was pretty awesome – maybe I’m just too nostalgic for London lol! LOVE your choices – really want to try the Tapas bar.

  3. Hi Nina! You made me want to travel to London! I dont visit the city from ages and I’d love so much! Kisses! xo

  4. Yes! I read the comments Nina and I’m almost certain that the tea room in question in Spitafields is!:) For those who decide to go do not expect your traditional English tea hang-out. More Asian with unusual flavours and patisserie options. The Mayflower pub is my local pub and also one of my favourite places – very old and historic. Speaking of London pubs this deserves a special listing I’m more than happy to help with Nina:)

  5. Ooh – I just saw the Lichtenstein exhibit this week! It’s AMAZING. I have to add *vintage shopping* in all the second hand stores down and around Bricklane. Plus if you’re in Covent Garden on a Thursday the Fresh food market with have you salivating. Camden Market needs to be seen to be believed… all too many things to see and do!
