I have a proper addiction to lip gloss.
At any given time you can find 3 or 4 tubes on my person – stuffed in my handbag, pockets or scattered around my desk within arm’s reach. I am constantly applying lippy while I’m sat at my computer with no intention of seeing anyone. AF frequently trips over balms and high-gloss products cursing my name. Yes, my “problem” has truly found its way into every corner of my life – but I’m not complaining!
To me, there isn’t much worse than feeling a naked, dry lip. Lips should be soft and supple. With a million products out there to remedy a Saharan pout it really just isn’t necessary. I love the variety we have these days: day time, night time, long-wear, high-gloss, plumping, anti-ageing, sheer, tinted, and on and on and on. No wonder my purse looks like a cosmetics counter!
So, how does one decipher the crème de la crème of the lippy world? I believe it’s similar to how a girl picks her dream man: it’s all about the complete package! If you’re looking for a product that will look stunning and natural, super-shiny without the sticky goo, and have long-term nourishing benefits there are many you can find. My current “must-have” is a recent find by vbeauté called lip spread anti-age lip gloss. The hydrating properties are definitely some of the best I’ve experienced and work to fill fine lines even after it’s shine has worn off a bit. It goes on incredibly smoothly and uses your natural pigment to enhance your lip shade – there is nothing worse than buying a colour that doesn’t quite compliment your skin tone. And, my man is just happy that the sleek finish isn’t as sticky as many of the others I drench myself in!
Whatever you choose, keep those lips drenched! Gwyneth P was onto something when she said, “Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That or a kick-ass red lipstick.” I couldn’t agree more, Gwen, but I’ll still stick to my gloss!
Have a lovely Day!!!

I always think of the Jenna Marbles video when I have too much lip gloss in my purse… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1usT9C04Foc haha!
Lip glosses usually drive me a little crazy with their stickiness, so I’ll see if I can try your recommendation soon 🙂
xo, Liz
