How To Make a Classic Sangria… Drinks Anyone?

I know  Spanish wine-based cocktail Sangria is extremely delicious and refreshing but I just found out how easy it is to make.  Sangria is served throughout Spain and Portugal during summer. Did you know? Sangria is named after the Portuguese word for “blood” – “sangue” because of its typical dark-red color. Summer punches are perfect!!! Drinks anyone?

Ingredients for classic Sangria recipe:

1 bottle of pinot noir
¼ cup brandy
¼ cup Grand Marnier
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tbsp fresh orange juice
¼ cup sugar
½ orange, thinly sliced
½ lemon, thinly sliced
1 unwaxed apple, cored + cut into thin wedges
2-3 cups of sparkling water

Instructions

1. In a large jug, combine pinot noir, brandy, Grand Marnier, lime juice, orange juice, sugar, orange slices, lemon slices, apple wedges
2. Chill for 1-2 hours
3. Add 2-3 cups of chilled sparkling water
