Home Decor DIY- How to Update your Chest of Drawers

Oliver and the drawers

My Chest of Drawers urgently needed an update. September was the month I redecorated my home with minor changes, like the one I will show you to refresh our home decor. I love DIY projects… especially easy ones. For the past 10 years this chest of drawers are in the entrance of our house and we use them every day.

Even Ninja and Jaslin (our cats) love to eat up there so Oliver (the dog) will not bother them. Plus, at some point the lower 10cm were covered with water for a few hours while I was waiting for the plumper to fix a leak.

To make a long story short I used new drawer knobs and a new coat of paint. I was thinking of making it a slow process… buying my favorite knobs from shops around the world. Not me! I needed results immediately. I went to Zara Home chose the best available combination to create an avant garde look. Mixing eye knobs with skull knobs and red porcelain flowers would do the trick just fine. Love the little turquoise owls!

I used two knobs of each design to create some balance.
