I wish we will all have a wonderful 2017 filled with love, good health, smiles and style.
And while we’re still trying to understand where the year went, it’s that time again. The time to make resolutions and promises.
This Top Style Resolution post is a roundup for my sartorial objectives for 2017.
Style Resolutions
Master the art of layering
Go to the next level and learn how to layer without looking overdone. Stick for this year to monochromatic and textured layering.
For the monochromatic look think 50 shades of gray. It’s basically about working with one main color in different fabrics and shapes. One of the staples you need for this trend is a thin warm soft turtleneck, which can be worn underneath everything from a simple shirt, strappy dresses, or a V-neck knit.
Stay grounded
Don’t reserve your flat shoes just for the weekend.
Invest in stylish flats. The most popular shoe on the feet of the front row’s finest Gucci’s snaffle bit loafers, now to be found in myriad candy-coloured variations.
Also, a chic pair of ballet flats is something you’ll absolutely get your money’s worth on. I wear mine on the plane, to meetings, walking around a new city, really everywhere!
Invest in classics
Joanna Hillman, style director of Harper’s Bazaar, share her style resolution: ” Invest in more classics that go with everything and never go out of style”.
I am totally on board with this, even thought, last year I got carried away a few times.
Have a lovely Year!!!
