Fringes Spring 2015

Fashionable Fringes from Spring 2015 Runways

The new is, the fringe never left the fashion scene!

Fringes had made it back to the runway big time in a fashion forward and versatile way during the summer season and are still a hot fashion trend for Winter 2014-15.

Think beaded, silk and shredded leather fringes.

Designers went for flowy movement on the runway with fringe and feathers. Dropped waists at Roberto Cavalli lent the shredded edges a ’20s feel while Alexander McQueen took a heavily constructed, plumed route. Lanvin and Stella McCartney reworked the fringe into colour-blocked, fluid layers to add swish to their evening ensembles.

In case you are wondering if it’s worth investing in fringes during sales, the answer is Yes!

One of the Five Spring 2015 Fashion Trends You Can Definitely Pull Off from Paris, Milan, London, and New York fashion shows are the fringes.

Fringe has attached itself to everything from daytime knits to evening looks, right in line with that ’70s vibe. Giambattista Valli’s fringed minidress would be the most fun to twirl around in, while Proenza Schouler’s long skirt would make a terrific, swoosh-y entrance itself. Unfinished edges create a fringe of their own, seen here on skirts from Prada and Celine.

The other four are flares, belts, military and jewel tones!
