Fresh Strawberries hand-dipped in Dark Chocolate- Secrets of an Easy Recipe

strawberries chocolate

Fresh Strawberries hand-dipped in Dark Chocolate is an easy recipe my friend Katerina (Sgoura) gave me but it has three secrets, I learned the hard way.

It is a perfect low calorie dessert that is good for your health. ( You can read here about the benefits of eating dark chocolate)

After I tasted these amazing strawberries, covered with dark chocolate at my friend’s house, I knew I wanted to try the recipe at home. Katerina told me it’s easy. You melt the dark chocolate in bain marie and then dip each strawberry and let it cool. When I did it the first time I tried to melt the chocolate in low heat. (Katerina never said that but I thought why not..) Big mistake… the chocolate slightly burned but I managed to stick it on the strawberries. Then I placed my horrible looking but tasty strawberries in a plater. Big mistake number 2, they stack there. I started late, everything went wrong…big mistake number 3.

What you will need:

Fresh strawberries

Dark Chocolate bars

Instructions:

Melt the chocolate bain marie until it is fluid. Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip the fruit into the dark chocolate, lift and twist slightly, letting any excess chocolate fall back into the bowl. Place on baking paper sheet.
