Smudgy Smokey Eye Tips

Tip 1 : Blend brown and blacks eyeshadows

Pat McGrath who did the makeup at the Diane von Furstenberg Fall Winter 2015-16 fashion show explains : ” blend, blend, blend—until it seems you can’t blend anymore—then keep at it.”

Tip 2 : Use kajal

The emollient, traditionally cone-shaped eyeliner that has Indian and Arabic roots also known as kohl is the best makeup tool to achieve the on-trend, smoldering  edgy eye look. The key is to glide it on its side to preserve the form. Apply it along the upper and lower lash and waterlines.

Tip 3 : Use 2 eyeshadows and black pencil for a classic

From the guru of  eye makeup, Lisa Eldridge,  classic smokey eyes made easy using two eyeshadows, taupe and dark grey and a black pencil. This video has had over 1, 700,000 views and even though it’s not new it is the basis of the look.
