When I went to my friend Lara for an extra long weekend in Kea she cooked a super tasty, super easy grilled cherry tomatoes pasta sauce.
She gave me the recipe and I tried it a few days ago. The taste is divine…and it takes three minutes to prepare and approximately 45 min to bake.
Note, I am using the cherry tomatoes and basil I grow in our garden…
For the Cherry Tomatoes Pasta Sauce you will need :
For the sauce:
1 kilo cherry tomatoes
fresh basil
salt and ground pepper
oil 1,2 teaspoons
Optional garlic
Also:
500gr pasta
Parmesan cheese
Preparation:
You wash the tomatoes and place them in a baking pan. Add salt, pepper, oil and thinly chopped basil. Place in a preheated oven 170 degrees Celsius for about 45 minutes.
Tip: I also used 3,4 ripe tomatoes sliced.
Boil pasta according to the instructions. I personally prefer De Cecco rigatoni but today I used the Barilla Mezze Penne Tricolore.
