Anna Wintour Doesn’t Even Look at Shoes That Aren’t This Brand??!! I knew the answer before I opened the article that came to my email from WhoWhatWear. The king of shoes is Manolo Blahnik.
In the documentary about Blahnik called Manolo: the Boy Who Made Shoes for Lizards, Anna,editor-in-chief of Vogue since 1988, makes a bold claim about her love for the Spanish designer: “I can’t remember the last time I wore anybody else’s shoes—I mean, I just don’t even look at them,” she says in the film.
Considering she has access to every designer under the sun, it’s certainly a strong statement.
My favorite Manolos are purple and I have worn them from San Diego to Paros.
