Shopping in New Delhi, is exciting. I do not like markets so much so I will tell you about my favorite shops with fixed prices that are worth visiting.

7… National Gallery of Modern Art

The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), definitely worth visiting. It is the premier art gallery under Ministry of Culture, Government of India.[1] The main museum at Jaipur House in New Delhi was established on March 29, 1954 by the Government of India, with subsequent branches at Mumbai and Bangalore. Its collection of more than 14,000 works includes works by artists such as Thomas Daniell, Raja Ravi Verma, Abanindranath Tagore, Rabindranath Tagore, Gaganendranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, Jamini Roy, Amrita Sher-Gil as well as foreign artists, apart from sculptures by various artists. Some of the oldest works preserved here date back to 1857.

Shaw brothers is my favorite shop for high quality exclusive pashminas. Established in 1840, ‘Shaw Brothers’ has travelled a long way both in distance and in style. Once confined to the boundaries of the Vale of Kashmir ,it is now recognised as one of the finest Shawl producers of the world.
