Wanna find out your mistakes when dieting, check out the 5 common reasons you are not loosing weight even though you seem to be doing everything right. At least I thought I was…
For some unexplainable reason, I gain weight during summer. So annoying… it’s those extra two kilos that make all my clothes just a little tighter. Not to mention that I do not feel comfortable in a bikini.
I try to eat more healthy foods for loosing weight, like berries, salmon and avocados but still something seems to be slowing my metabolism. Living in Greece in summer, I eat for healthy glowing skin all those yummy fresh fruits and choriatiki salads with olive oil but they might also be the reason I eat more calories.
I plan to reduce the quantities. However, there is more to weight loss than counting calories, we all know that. Find out if you are making any of these common mistakes when dieting that might be preventing you from loosing weight. I know I was…
Five Most Common Mistakes when Dieting
1. Not Counting calories
Even though there is more, at the end of the day it is also simple math.. how many calories you eat, minus how many you burn. Watching portions is a great way to keep the weight off.
Also, avoid juices even fresh. It takes several oranges to make a glass of orange juice, but when you drink juice, you consume all the calories from those oranges without the natural fruit fibers that fill you up.
2. Eating breakfast ? Yes or No
Even though most diets say you must eat breakfast there is absolutely no reason to eat when you’re not hungry. If you are forcing yourself to eat breakfast because it’s supposed to be healthy, do not dot it.
3. Not sleeping well
Sleep deprivation makes you feel hungry and could also hinder weight loss according to a study by University of Chicago’s General Clinical Resource Center.
4. Restraining from food all day
Feeling good with your body is important but you are not getting there faster by depriving yourself of food all day long. Skipping meals can cause overeating.
5. Eating artificial foods
Research suggests that people tend to eat upwards of 30 percent more when they know they’re eating a food that’s low fat. Processed and artificial foods are a common dieting mistake and this includes artificial sweeteners that modify the microbiome in our gut according to recent studies. try to eat fresh fruits, “nature’s sweets,” but not too much…
